Government of Bihar, Education Department has released an official notification for Post Matric Scholarship (PMS) scheme for BC & EBC category and SC & ST category Students for the academic year 2026-27. All candidates can apply online through the Official PMS Online portal pmsonline.bihar.gov.in or scstpmsonline.bihar.gov.in from 15th July 2026 to till the last date of application submission 15th September 2026 for Bihar Post Matric Scholarship Scheme 2026.

  • There will be no application fee for Post Matric Scholarship Scheme 2026-27.

Bihar Post Matric Scholarship Eligibility Criteria 2026-27

Applicants must be a permanent resident of Bihar state.

The caste of the applicant should be under Backward Class (BC) / Extremely Backward Class (EBC) / Scheduled Castes (SC) / Scheduled Tribes (ST).

BC & EBC or SC & ST students whose annual income of parent/ guardian including own income does not exceed Rs.3,00,000/- only, will be eligible for scholarship under this scheme. The applicant should be studying in post-admission courses in government institutions / recognized non-government institutions located within the state.
