Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha has released an official notification for Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test (OTET) 2026 for Paper-I and Paper-II. The all eligible candidates can submit online application form at BSE Odisha official portal bseodisha.nic.in from 26th April 2026 to till the application closing date 09th April 2026 for Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test OTET 2026.

Odisha TET 2026 Eligibility Criteria

Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 2 year Diploma in Elementary Education (CT or D.El.Ed.). OR

Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and 2 year Diploma in Elementary Education, in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations, 2002. OR

Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and B.El.Ed. OR

Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 2 year Diploma in Education (Special Education). OR

Graduation and two year Diploma in Elementary Education. OR

Graduation with at least 50% marks and B.Ed. OR

PG with a minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade and three year Integrated B.Ed-M.Ed on the condition that who has acquired the qualification of Bachelor of Education from any NCTE recognized Institution shall be considered for appointment as a teacher in classes I to V provided the person so appointed as a teacher shall mandatorily undergo a six month Bridge Course in Elementary Education recognized by the NCTE, within two years of such appointment as primary teacher.

Graduation and 2 year Diploma in Elementary Education (CTor D.El.Ed). OR

Atleast 50% marks either in Graduation or in Post Graduation and B.Ed. OR

Graduation with at least 45% marks and 1 B.Ed. in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations issued from time to time in this regard. OR

Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and B.El.Ed. OR

Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with atleast 50% marks and 4-year B.A./ B.Sc. Ed or B.A.Ed./ B.Sc.Ed. OR

Graduation with at least 50% marks and 1-year or 2-year B.Ed. (Special Education). OR

Post Graduation with a minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade and threeyear Integrated B.Ed-M.Ed.

OTET Examination Paper Details 2026

There shall be two papers of the OTET viz - Paper-I and Paper-II.

Total duration of the test in each paper shall be 2.30 hours.

All questions will be Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ), each carrying one mark with four alternatives out of which one answer is correct.

The question papers in non-language subjects shall be bilingual i.e. in Odia and English.

Following languages shall be offered in Language - I:- Odia, Hindi, Telugu, Urdu, Bengali. The candidate has to choose anyone of the above languages for Language-I subject.

Language-II subject shall be English for all candidates.

There shall be no negative marking.
